The food at The Pub complements its strong drinks perfectly. Their chicken wings stand out as a must-try item, expertly fried and grilled for a mouthwatering crisp exterior with a juicy, flavorful interior. Customers often rave about these wings, describing them as “fantastic” and “something else,” a sentiment echoed across multiple reviews. The mix grill and chicken stir fry offer variety while staying true to the pub’s comforting and straightforward food philosophy.
Drinkers will appreciate the affordable pitchers of beer and selection of cider, making The Pub a fantastic place to kick back without breaking the bank. Regular patron Louis Serafini sums it up best: “Food giant plate of fries for $6… Drinks cheap beer and pitchers… Atmosphere a classic no frills dive… We need more authentic places like this.”

I love a good dive bar, and The Pub did not disappoint. Friendly service and very reasonable prices! Solid selection of appetizers. The wings were fantastic! Bonus points for pitchers of beer. Can’t wait to come back again and try a burger.
Had an great time at The Pub in Somerville! The bartenders were truly awesome, providing top-notch service and making the overall bar experience fantastic. The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff's friendly demeanor added to the enjoyment. If you're looking for a great time with excellent service, The Pub is a definite go-to spot for a classic pub experience!
Filled with locals, The Pub is one of the more towny pubs in Somerville and its a great spot for after work beers. Wouldn't really be coming here for dinner or a meal but if you want to pound some beers with local Somerville firefighters, police and teachers after work this is the spot to be. The wings here are something else, they fry and grill them and they are amazing. Other than Buffs in Watertown this is one of my favourite spots for wings in the greater Boston area. Order everything from the bar, if it's not your style then don't come here. The service in my experience has been great.
Grew up in Somerville and this was my first time in the pub. Ordered the wings and onion rings and was not disappointed. The bartender was attentive and friendly so was the cook. I will definitely be back again. You can see the kitchen area from the bar and I noticed everything is cooked fresh to order. I highly recommend this place.
I will try to break this down as simply as I can: Food: giant plate of fries for $6? Yup. Drinks: cheap beer and pitchers. We even got a free one at the end of the night. Atmosphere: a classic no frills dive. We need more authentic places like this! 5/5
I moved from Florida, and this was the first bar I tried on my first night. I fell in love with it immediately and have been going here every week for two years now! I recommend this place to everyone, great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly bartenders!
